Bob Marley weed brand launched
Bob Marley weed brand was launched this weekend on the dearly departed singer’s birthday on the 6th of February.
The late great Bob’s heirs have made the decision to use their father’s name and image to brand four different strains of Bob Marley weed.
Bob Marley had always been a cannabis activist in his lifetime and was very open about his beliefs regarding the herb.
To say that the idea of a Bob Marley weed is a long time coming would be something of an understatement. His story and that of the legacy that his family continues to carry on with so much fervour and pride is as authentic as it is influential and inspirational.
Bob Marley weed will be part of the Marley Natural range, making its debut in the midst of worldwide cannabis legalisation talks in governments across the globe.
One thing’s for sure, smokers will be expecting a superior premium strain of cannabis if it is going to be known as Bob Marley weed.
And for any cannabis user who was ever curious as to the kind of high that Bob may have experienced in his lifetime, the use of Bob’s branded strain could offer the smoker more than just a mentally stimulating high but a heart high too.
The Marley family has been working with Privateer Holding based in New York in the development of the product.
One of Bob Marley’s sons, Stephen Marley spoke to Billboard about Marley Natural…
“If my father was here physically, he would be up front advocating for this plant, so we are very proud to put our Marley Natural brand out there.”
Privateer Holding has shared that they have been to hundreds of farms and that they have worked on developing four separate strains. They plan on making these available and legal in America.
So far they have the Gold, Red, Marley Green and what they are branding as a more potent strain simply called, Black. The names of the Marley Natural strains are refreshingly simplistic when compared to the existing, eccentric and creative nature of strain naming.
