Black Coffee P Diddy Collab could be on the cards
A Black Coffee P Diddy collab could soon be a reality.
Black Coffee has shed a little more light on his meeting with P Diddy. When the picture of the two legends went viral, everyone wondered what the meeting may have actually been about.
Back then we were told that it was merely “a meeting of the minds” which we believed. The meeting took place last year in Malibu, California. As far as getting your picture taken with one of your favourite rappers, this one was pretty much “goals” in a nutshell.
Black Coffee went on the Phat Joe Show on East Coast Radio and shared what the Black Coffee P Diddy collab was all about.
Phat Joe was under the assumption that the Black Coffee P Diddy collab revolved around a dance music collaboration. Nathi thought the same…
What was said…
“No, I even assumed he wanted me for a dance album, but that’s not the case. He’s working on his last hip-hop album. I finally sat down with him and he was explaining to me the vision, like the sound he was trying to get. So I’m not contributing on house music, I’m contributing on hip-hop music,” shared Black Coffee.
P Diddy said this to Black Coffee…
“I know what you do but this is not the reason I want you here. I don’t want you for dance, I believe you can do something quite unique to this project.”
Even though Black Coffee is a bonafide true house music talent, P Diddy’s aim was to stretch that ability into the realms of hip hop. We are sure that Black Coffee had no problem extending his talents to the genre. SA’ house legend has too much soul to produce anything that isn’t of an impeccable musicality and quality.
The Black Coffee P Diddy collab will hopefully see the house music producer share his talents on Diddy’s his latest hip-hop album.
