Bedroom DJ Competition Winner
The winner of the Bedroom DJ Competition in partnership with Mixcloud has been announced along with the runners up.
This is the sixth edition of the contest and Moritz Mello is the Bedroom DJ Competition winner. Moritz is originally from Manheim, Germany and he is based in Farnham, UK.
The Bedroom DJ Competition was inundated with responses from all over the world. They scoured through entries from many talented DJs. They were looking to draw in the next generation of DJs and they came across some talented aspiring DJs.
Each participant had to express themselves with the “Let’s Dance” theme. There was no limit to the kinds of genres to be used and the contest organisers came across some good music this way.
Choosing a winner and runners up wasn’t an easy task. It took hours of listening and deliberating to land on their final decision.
The Winner
The overall winner, Moritz Mello is the perfect example of a bedroom D, he has only been DJ-ing for a year. And it is only recently that he started sharing his mixes with others. He is all about his warm house grooves and has all the makings of someone who could develop into a great DJ.
“He’s passionate about house, tech house and techno with his love for music developing from his Brazilian roots.” Mixcloud
