Beatport Starter Kit is a free downloadable production bundle to kick start your music making
The Beatport Starter Kit is a free downloadable production bundle that will help kick start your music making.
The Beatport Starter Kit is made up of production tutorials and more than 1GB royalty free samples, effects, and sounds.
There are three tutorial videos from FaderPro, a music education site. It also includes ten written tutorials that cover everything from promotion to technical skills. The Beatport Starter Kit is the first production tools give away for the Beatport platform.
These kinds of BitTorrent Bundles are being used by more artists such as Thom Yorke, who are looking to easily share their music without the download limitations of streaming website, Soundcloud.
“Part of our commitment to supporting creator culture is lowering the barrier of entry to newcomers interested in producing and mixing music. Bundle platform allows us to offer a vast collection of resources without charge in a way that is truly meaningful to anyone looking to get started, while helping our Sounds label providers reach a new audience.” Said Clark Warner, BEATPORT SVP of Artist & Label Relations
The Beatport Starter Kit works in the company’s favour since they rely heavily on the track uploads by aspiring music producers, artists, and record labels as this is what drives sales on the site.
Clearly Beatport is working hard at coming through the financial storm that they experienced last year. The company lost a $5.5m in 2015 and froze royalty payments due to an alleged lack of cash flow. The struggles experienced within Beatport reflect the bankruptcy of its holding company SFX Entertainment.
Beatport is determined, now more than ever to prove to all of its users that not only is it functioning properly but that it is also progressing at a steady pace.
You can download the Beatport Starter Kit from the BitTorrent Bundle site.
