Bazique Festival announce first phase lineup & tickets
The Bazique festival is a brand new full weekend festival that will take place on 16-18 March 2018.
Their tagline is ‘a 3-day reverie of art, music and absurdism.’
There are two unique features to Bazique that sets this event apart from a regular weekend music fest;
Firstly, they have opted in several key event brands who all have their own identity and vibe – and fan base.
This suggest two things; a) this forward-thinking event will offer a diverse range of music styles and b) has the support of the Cape Town scene.
The second unique feature is that Bazique, judging by their marketing and by the fact that the legendary Secret Garden party from the UK are also involved, is that the 3-day festival is almost like a mini Afrika Burn – except a lot closer to Cape Town and no ‘gifting economy.’ But equally, if not more bizarre and silly.
The venue for the inaugural event is the Elgin Grabouw Country Club which is a one-hour drive from Cape Town.
Lineup and party promoters
Bazique will feature 6 curated music venues overseen by Secret Garden Party (UK), Sexy Groovy Love, Pop Bottles, Wolfkop Weekender, Diskotekah and Cape Town Electronic Music festival.
Design coordinator is the infamous Daniel Popper who has a résumé that boasts some of the biggest global stages for art installations, stage design and mapping.
