Bandcamp Livestreaming Platform launched
A Bandcamp Livestreaming Platform has been launched.
This is designed for artists to stream ticketed events and shows.
The new Bandcamp Livestreaming Platform service will take a 10% commission on ticket prices although they will waive this until 31st March 2021 to get some traction and obviously to encourage users to try it out.
Events and/artists can set their own ticketing prices.
The great thing is that, if you are an artist on Bandcamp, your fans will be notified when an event is added to your page.
Bandcamp will also display any merchandise you have in your Bandcamp shop during the entire broadcast.
Other features include live chat.
The broadcasts will make use of OBS.
Although Bandcamp has rolled the new service out to some artists you may not have received their email.
