Ballantine’s True Music series x Felipe Pantone tour ends on a high at Langa
Ballantine’s True Music series x Felipe Pantone is a wrap!
Ballantine’s Scotch Whisky wrapped up a three country True Music Series x Felipe Pantone tour with an amazing finale event at Langa, Cape Town at the Guga S’thebe Arts & Culture Centre on Sunday 31st March.
Ballantine’s True Music Series is an annual project that gives uncompromising artists a unique platform to share and visualise music and music scenes that inspire artists and fans worldwide.
For this year, Ballantine’s partnered with renowned street artist Felipe Pantone to design unique Limited Edition Ballantine’s Finest and 12 Year Old with artwork inspired by the underground club culture, the recording and production process, and music soundwaves.
For the South African leg of the five-month tour, Felipe used sound reactive audio-visual technology to transform his Ballantine’s designs into an equaliser alongside DJ and producer Kid Fonque’s visual podcast series, Kid Fonque Presents.
True Music backdrop
Since November the striking backdrop has travelled to Pretoria, Port Elizabeth and finally Cape Town, and has been a striking podcast and performance backdrop for a killer line-up of True Music artists at each event.
It all came to an epic close last night in Langa when Kid Fonque, together with We House Sundays brought together 1400 True Music fans for a night of great music, great art and great drinks like no other. The line-up included:
-Johannesburg-based DJ and label manager Kid Fonque
