Babes Wodumo latest celebrity targeted by hackers in SA
Babes Wodumo, Bonang, Cassper and other SA celebs are being targeted by hackers.
What is happening to our SA celebs? It appears that hackers have found “meal tickets” on social media by hacking celebrities accounts.
First Bonang’s account mysteriously vanished last week, forcing her team to release a statement on her behalf confirming the hack- luckily her account was restored.
“Bonang’s account appears to have been hacked (currently saying ‘user not found’). Please be patient and do not believe any information unless it comes from her directly (on Instagram) or from her team at @CSAglobal_ We hope this will be sort as fast as possible. 🙏”
Earlier this year SA favourite rapper Cassper’s account was also hacked; he released a statement saying:
“Bought my my account back from the hacker but now someone else stole my handle and I lost my verification.Hopefully can .@Twitter can help. Please RT”
I mean this is a huge problem, especially for celebrities and influencers who rely on social media for work and connecting to their masses of fans.
Not Babes…
Now it looks like Babes is the latest SAleb to fall prey to the hackening, who found a way into her Instagram account.
Babes took to Instagram to tell fans what the cause was behind her disappearance.
“Guess who’s back? Sorry for disappearing on you guys. Someone tried to hack my account and I couldn’t log in at all. Heard I ain’t the only one though. Thanks to everyone who’s helped me get my account (back),” she said.
Who’s next? Hopefully the hackers leave Babes Wodumo and the other celebs in peace.
