DNA Awaken has the genetic code for making sweet house music!
Awaken is the eleventh release on the Ambious Records roster, and it will certainly awaken your love for house music.
Tried and tested, the 3-track EP has received early support from Marc De Pulse, Lane 8, CIOZ, FLUIDA and many more, this EP is set to make waves on the local and international scene.
The opening track, ‘Kundalini’, sets the tone with an uplifting intro to an emotionally-hitting EP held together by progression and drive.
Second up is ‘Midnight’, a warm melody turned into a full-on club anthem with moody bass sequencing and heart wrenching breakdowns.
The EP’s closer is ‘Solis’ – is a metaphor for the EP’s inevitable and anticipated effect on South Africa’s festival landscape in the upcoming 2018/19 season.
DNA is their name with house as their game
This Joburg-based Deep House duo is comprised of Devon Horowitz & Alon Lev Alkalay, who hail from different musical backgrounds.
Alon Alkalay has an extensive background in composition & music production, known for his emotive, powerful and complex pieces inspired by natural surroundings.
Devon Horowitz has an extensive background in Classical Drumming, Guitar & whom previously focused on Deep Tech, came together to provide a fresh, unique & organic sound to the Local & International Electronic Music Scene.
They are signed to Ambious Records, an imprint founded by House Music connoisseurs Nick Supply, MKLY and Sides set on recruiting individuals who share their passion for the music and are keen to join the House Music movement.
