Avicii looks set to return with new music soon
After his hiatus, Swedish house producer Avicii is back, revealing a sneak peak of his new material.
The megastar took some time off from the rigorous lifestyle of touring and after splitting with his longtime manager, Ash Pournouri.
“My new year’s resolution is to make the best damn album of my career,” he posted on Instagram in January this year and low and behold, a few months later he seems to be on course for delivery.
The mammoth house star shared a new clip on his Instagram. With a background of Machu Picchu, you hear the classic guitar-heavy intro which then turns into the folk-electronica style that he’s so famous for.
The caption reads: “New coming (very) soon.”
As if that’s not exciting enough, there are more spectacular speculations…
1 part, 2 part?
There was also a sub-Reddit r/aviccii leak revealing a track list, potential release dates as well as hint that his album will be a two-parter.
Written on Universal stationery is an EP titled Lord and features tracks titled “Without You,” “Lonely Together,” “Friend of Mine,” ”You Be Love,” and “What Would I Change It To”- with the words Lord and Part 1 written nearby.
What’s interesting is that the clip he posted on his Instagram has hashtags of the same track names. So even if this sub-Reddit isn’t 100% correct, we at least know the track names.
Either way, it’s all good news. Having such a talented producer ‘retire’ so young was a sad sight, it’s great that he jumped back on the producing saddle.
I guess time will tell what we will be hearing from Avicii.
