Armand Van Helden Masterpiece on Ministry of Sound

Boston’s very own Armand Van Helden will release his three disc Ministry Of Sound “Masterpiece” compilation on 15 February 2015. He is an experienced remixer with twenty years under his belt, Grammy award nominations, and three official UK Number one’s.

Armand Van Helden Masterpiece is an opportunity for theartist to piece together a musical tasting plate that reflects their inspirations and influences. It’s the kind of compilation that strives to serve as a mood setter and will do so effectively for those who are already hard and fast fans. The three mixes are titled “The Loft – Boston,” Yacht Rock Don’t Stop,” and “Freestyle Forever”

1991 was indeed a good long while ago and that is when Armand Van Helden began working on production for the remix service X-Mix Productions. In 1992 he released Deep Creed’s ‘Stay on My Mind’ on Nervous Records. And it was at The Loft, an early House music venue in Boston where Armand with his residency became a talked about DJ. The Loft was also a spot that became one of the most popular underground venues in the city.

Armand Van Helden’s start in the Boston House scene carried him onto becoming an internationally celebrated act that offered up New York style electronic music that spanned from classic house to speed garage via hip hop, funk, blue-eyed soul and back.
