Apple Music For Artists analytics tool now available
Track how your music is doing with Apple Music For Artists.
Apple Music’s analytics tool for artists is out of beta and available for all. The service provides invaluable information for artists to gain insight about how their music is performing around the world and therefor adjust accordingly to optimize success.
The service has been in beta since mid-2018 and has since been tweaked and refined with musicians’ input. It acts as an analytics tool for artists using Apple Music and is available through a mobile app or desktop interface.
Basic dashboard stats like overall plays, milestones and personal bests are still front and center and artists can also upload their own profile image.
Furthermore, it provides insight into how artist releases are performing in different parts of the world as well as which types of people are loving their music.

All the data and activity about streams and sales can be viewed in lists or as a visual heat map, with a heat map making it easy for artists to plan a tour where they have the most fans.
The demographics you can view about your listeners includes age, gender and location (city-wise) but you can’t cross-reference two sets of data to give you information on, for example, how many 25- to 35-year-olds are listening to one of your tracks in Chicago.
Artists can also see their Shazam data, including the top Shazamed cities and countries; which gives artist an idea of where there’s interest.
Check it out here, now available for all.
