Amsterdam Dance Event 2017 announces dates and new territories
The annual Amsterdam Dance Event 2017 has announced its dates and its international expansion. This year they are expecting 375,000 people to attend. That is a whopping number by any measure. It will all take place between the 18th and 22nd of October.
This is 22nd year the event is running and as it grows in age and size, so does the expectation of what it represents and delivers to the dance music community.
The Amsterdam Dance Event 2017 is by far, the worldβs largest club-based festival and conference for electronic music. The event continues to grow and develop each year, with last yearβs edition featuring over 2,200 artists and 550 speakers in a record-breaking 140 venues.
βAmsterdam is the centre of the global electronic music scene during ADE, a hotbed for cultural and technological innovation. Itβs amazing to see that thousands of delegates and music enthusiasts are spending more and more time in the city each year. The Dutch creative industry has a strong global reputation, and represents an (export) value of billions, partly thanks to the dance scene. Through our international activities we intend to increase that value and create a springboard for Dutch talent.β says ADE director Richard Zijlma.
Going Global
Amsterdam Dance Event 2017 is going global once more with an international program that branches out to Mumbai, India and also at SXSW in Austin, USA.
From 23rd to 25th February, the ADE Global Sessions Mumbai will host interactive Q&As with top artists, exclusive industry discussions, networking and speed dating sessions, strategy meetings, master classes and more. ADE will also co-present India’s Biggest Guestlist Club Festival. These will be taking place on the same dates.
At SXSW, the Amsterdam Dance Event 2017 will be delivering some of Holland’s most exceptional electronic music talent to the festival. Expanding the American perception of dance music beyond the realms of modern EDM.
