Amateur DJ couple LYTT is trying to crowd-fund over $100 000 to tour the world
Amateur DJ couple LYTT is begging for matches.
Unsurprisingly, an American DJ couple wants to buy their way to main stages around the world, with your money.
Meet Amberly and Matt, AKA LYTT, which takes the moniker from the final letters of each of their names to highlight their inseparable bond.
Aspiring DJs LYTT feels that they can skip to ‘go’ and collect $100 000. Instead of paying their dues, playing at modest bars and empty dance floors as they gain a following and a name, get spotted and land a breakthrough booking, they have launched a Kickstarter to fund their world tour.
Pay to play?
Kickstarter description: “We believe in a modern musical movement! We aim to share it all across the globe”.
They list their demographic as EDM fans aged between 18 & 24, and hope to raise $108 500 for a world tour, making stops in Ibiza, Amsterdam, Berlin, Zurich, Rome, Florence, Tokyo etc.
The “risks and challenges” they face are: “LYTT has connections and can be booked in many places around the world. The problem they are facing is they need to build their following and grow more of a fan base to start pulling in big money.”
So what do you get for pledging?
$100 gets you a “download card, a T-shirt, a sticker and a signed photo!”
$500 gets you a “Greeting Goodie Bag” which is the same as the $100 package, with the addition of a CD and a keychain!
$7500 gets you “DJ equipment and lesson,” wait for it….via VIDEO!
Thus far they have raised $32 out of the $108 500, with 10 days to go.
It doesn’t looks like amateur DJ couple LYTT will get very far!
