AKA, Nyembe vs Benza feud goes to the Human Rights Commission
The AKA, Nyembe vs Benza feud is a triangle of xenophobia and what seems to be sour attitudes.
Recently it was reported that AKA, Kiernan Forbes, had a nasty split with long-time manager Raphael Benza of Vth Season management.
Through Tweets, AKA divulged how bad the split actually is, comparing it to the beef between Lil’ Wayne and Birdman, saying: “Not a fall out bro.. Far worse. Birdman/Wayne type sh*t.”
He goes on to warn artists signed to Vth Season to get legal backing and chartered accountant.
The crux of his Tweets leads to the information that he has been setting up his “own company (Beam Group) for the last few months now,” he says.
The plot thickens with Benza now laying a complaint with the Human Rights Commission against AKA’s new business partner, Prince Nyembe.
A Beam of xenophobia
In his submission is an array of emails beholding hateful, injurious and xenophobic comments made by Nyembe towards Benza.
An email from 24 October states: “And your clever? your just a criminal that’s all .left your shit country to come take advantage of our talented people!! go home !!you don’t belong here .”
Benza feels: “As a proud African of Liberian decent I take a stand for all Africans that in 2017 we cannot sit back and let people like Mr Prince Nyembe demonstrate xenophobic attacks in any form without recourse. An insult to me because of my heritage is an insult to all Africans,” expresses Raphael Benza.”
AKA was copied in all of the emails and hasn’t distanced him from these remarks. The rapper has broken his silence to TshishaLIVE:
“It is important for people to know all sides of the story. The company is out of money. The emails were sent when I was in the process of leaving the company because funds were being mismanaged. Everybody can see that I am better off now than when I was at Vth Season. For me, the timing is questionable. When Vth Season is strapped for cash, they want to bring it to light. I don’t understand.”
There are naturally more sides to the story as AKA, Nyembe vs Benza feud goes to the Human Rights Commission.
