The new AGNT app connects promoters and DJs
A new app known as AGNT connects promoters and events to the much needed DJs. The AGNT concept was the bright idea by event promoter, Viet Nguyen and product specialist, Mike Henderson.
With this new app, booking a DJ or getting a gig for your open nights could be as simple as logging into an app. The developers are looking to take out the middle man and make communication between the event organiser and DJ a lot more streamlined.
Nguyen said to DJ Tech Tools that artists were complaining about promoters consistently booking the same acts and receiving no help in collecting money for shows.
How it works
The AGNT app requires registration, and once that is fixed you will be able to set up a DJ profile, an event host profile, or you can set up both. You will also be able to customise either profile with differing genres of music.
You will also include your travel radius, tech rider, the fee that you charge, and promotional links to your mixes and tracks.
If you are a promoter you will be able to use the app to find a DJ to suit your needs, particularly if a DJ dropped you last minute.
AGNT splits the payment 50/50 with half the fee paid to you once the booking is confirmed and the rest the next business day.
As a DJ you will also be allowed to advertise yourself to hosts who ‘leave an open spot’ when they register an event.
The app has been running for two months with reportedly around twenty five and thirty bookings per week. Festivals organisers are even said to have made use of the app.
Just find a DJ that you like and book them. Verified reviews mean you can trust any DJ you book.
You can even get to know your potential DJ using the built in chat. Discuss details, ask questions, or set up a meeting. You could pretty much use this app if you are a seasoned promoter, a run of the mill party planner, or a bride planning a wedding.
“With AGNT the right DJ is always within reach” and the tag line reads “a revolution in DJ bookings”.
