71-year old man pistol-whips friend over Bruno Mars song
Bruno Mars had the elderly tripping, but sadly not on finesse.
An elderly Indiana man was arrested for pistol-whipping his long-time friend during an argument over a song by the “Uptown Funk” singer.
The incident took place at the home of Roger D. Washburn, the 71-year old now facing charges of battery and criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon- over a song by Bruno.
I’m just going to keep reaffirming that fact, and that Mr Washburn is hella gangster for someone his age, nay as far as humans go. I mean it’s not like Bruno’s songs are known for inducing violence in fans…
Anyways, this grandpa didn’t get riled up over the content of the song, but rather the classic argument of “Who Sings the Song, Anyway.”
Just the Way You Are
Let me set the scene:
Washburn and his friend of 50 years are listening to a song, bopping about when they get into an argument over who the singer of the song is.
The friend insists that it’s B Mars, but Washburn is having none of it.
The argument got so heated that Washburn took out his gun, so his friend retaliated by calling him “chicken shit.”
Naturally this didn’t go down to well, leading to Washburn pistol-whipping his friend, causing the gun to go off. Luckily no one was shot in the scuffle.
Unfortunately the name of the song wasn’t disclosed, but hopefully the truth will come out- I just hope it’s not ‘Just the Way You Are,’ otherwise weddings may be ruined.
Imagine banning Bruno Mars songs for inducing violence in the elderly, tripping on violence.
