Who better to host a slew of parties than SA’s premier radio station, 5FM? The station has always hosted events but this summer they are serious about the sizzle which is why they have launched a ‘We’ve Got Summer’ campaign.
The campaign will see 5FM team up with a variety of partners to host events in major cities all throughout SA, kicking off on Saturday, 24 November with Capsule Fest at Zone 6 in Soweto.
Capsule will be headlined by California rapper Vince Staples, with support from SA’s AKA, Riky Rick, Babes Wodumo, Shane Eagles and DJ Speedsta.

Next up is the Global Citizen Festival Mandela 100, taking place on Sunday, 2 December at FNB Stadium. The event aims to raise awareness and funds for interventions ranging from poverty to education and will feature a star-studded line-up including Beyoncé & JAY-Z, Cassper Nyovest, D’banj, Ed Sheeran, Eddie Vedder, Femi Kuti, Pharrell Williams & Chris Martin and more.

Sunday, 2 December to Saturday, 8 December see’s the return of Plett Rage, where 5FM DJs Das Kapital, Kyle Cassim and Roger Goode will man the decks as matrics celebrate freedom.
The Goldfish Outdoor Experience will be held on Saturday, 15 December at Val Bonne Country Estate in Johannesburg where guests will be treated to performances by Goldfish, DJ Kyle Cassim, Ms Cosmo, Ryan the DJ and more.
5FM will be hosting 5 New Year’s Eve parties:
H20 at Wild Waters in Boksburg Joburg line-up includes DJ Black Coffee, with tickets ranging between R149 and R349.
The Secrets of Summer New Year’s Eve Beach Party in Cape Town will host headliners Shapeless from Brazil, Kyle Watson, Chunda Munki, Pascal & Pearce, and Dean Fuel.
The Ballito New Year’s Eve Street Party headliners include Chunda Munki and TiMo ODV.
Southbroom New Year’s Eve Beach Party will be held at Southbroom Main Beach and will play host to a line-up of DJs, including Chunda Munki and TiMO ODV.
Plett Summer NYE 2018 is an 18-hour extravaganza with a line-up that includes PH Phat, Headroom, Roger Goode and more.
