We live in a world of cascading change. Powerful technological forces are not only reshaping life as we know it, they are also changing the way we understand and consume music. They have completely eroded away old methods of producing and growing House music. They no longer work as well as they did.
Another example I can put forward is that of Quentin Harris. Quentin turned down an opportunity to remix Alicia Key’s song No One, purely because he felt it was not the type of song that should be turned into a House or a club song. He felt that the song had an unmistakable level of artistry, originality and possessed a lot of impact. By remixing it into a House track it would distort its lustre.
