Organik celebrates 10 years of love, nature and the best in Psytrance
Cream of the Psychedelic crop Organik celebrates 10 years of love, fun and the finest musical drops.
In the thriving scene that is the Cape Town Psytrance community, standing out takes something extra special, maybe something Organik.
For the past 10 years Organik has delivered some of the most memorable weekends, experiences and lineups.
Whether it’s at the Wood between the World’s like their October installment, “Gaian Dream” or Utopia for “Love Project” in May, Organik always brings a unique and vibrant experience to the party calendar.
A trance party is a place where rebels and merrymakers come to break free from the mundane ticking clock of life- It’s a place of freedom, laughter, connecting and dancing.
So what is it that makes Organik so ‘duidelik’?
Don’t panic, it’s Organik!
When attending an Organik soiree guests can be sure to expect top-class facilities, beautiful journey-inspiring décor, crisp clear sound and an inspiring vibe.
They always have a stellar line-up of local and international deck spinners (DJs) with this 10 year celebration being NO exception. It’s a full 3 days, 2 nights of the most psychedelic music for you to feast your ears on.
The team behind Organik is comprised of Warren and Bianca “Betty” as well as much appreciated grafting from top-notch crews in production, cleaning, bar and all else.
I asked Warren what their original goal/dream was and whether it has been accomplished.
“I wouldn’t say we started out with a goal – we just wanted to throw kickass parties with our friends! I would say we’ve achieved that :-)”
Well no one can argue with that!
One of my ALL-TIME favourite parties was Organik’s 2012 Gaian Dream.
After the classic FOMO spell, me and some friends decided to make the mission on the Sunday. It was RAINING hard and the mud was plenty. Flood-like rain is never ideal for a production crew but they pulled it off with smiles, which reflected on the crowd. Despite having attended quite ‘a few’ parties since then, nothing has surpassed that bliss.
