I love the atmosphere at Halloween parties with everyone dressed up and losing themselves.” – Haezer
These boys are no strangers to ripping up parties with their bass heavy and high energy sets and they will be doing the same and more this coming Halloween.
Grimehouse, Bittereinder, Push Push, Rebel Clef, & Thor Rixon complete this badass lineup.

HAEZER
Haezer tells us what he likes about playing Halloween sets and about his collaboration with AGLORY
Tell us the production story behind your new collaboration with AGLORY?
I’ve admired their work for some time now and I was playing around with a hybrid electro/techno track and they came to mind. I finished a rough sketch and sent it to them, hoping they would be keen to put their spin on it and luckily they loved the track and that’s how it came to be.
What do you enjoy most about this time of year and playing at Halloween themed events?
September and October are my studio months. I try take less shows and work on new material. Right now I’m working on a new album and I’m most excited about this. The reason I choose these months is to have everything ready for the New Year and also get it out of the way so that I’m ready for season bookings.
I love the atmosphere at Halloween parties with everyone dressed up and losing themselves. The energy in the crowd tends to be really high because people forget their inhibitions and slip into their alter ego for one night. It’s great!
How are you planning on ripping things up during your set at the upcoming Halloween party at The Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria?
Main goal of a Halloween set in my opinion is to be fun. With the theme of Halloween it also allows me to delve into my dark side and my favourite thing to do every year is make a theme song intro.
Niskerone
Niskerone expresses sentiments of positivity for the future of drum & bass in South Africa and talks about his special three hour set at Fiction recently.
When you think about the future of drum & bass in South Africa, what comes to mind?
There are a lot of super talented young D n B artists coming through now, so to me, the future looks bright.
Last month you played a special three hour set at Fiction. What do you find yourself doing with the mix when you play for that long and why?
Those are my favourite type of sets, because I get to take the dance floor on a full journey through my sound.
I tend to spend quite a bit of time preparing my crates and during the three hours, I draw tunes based on what I feel in the moment, it’s a lot of fun that way. I could do six hours to be honest!
What can Pretoria start getting excited for when you play at the upcoming Halloween event at The Voortrekker Monument?
I’m super excited to be back in PTA, and I have a special bag full of exclusives that I can’t wait to share with everyone at Halloween!
