Reason 8.3 to be released soon with some great new tweaks
Reason 8.3 from Propellerhead has been announced and beta testing is underway right now!
The massively popular music production software has undergone some serious overhauls in recent years and whilst version 8 was a little underwhelming as a totally new release, certain enhancements were critical in changing the workflow to match other DAW programs. Reason 8.3 adds some extra enhancements and user requested fixes too.

Reason 8.3 – Main New Features
Reason 8.3 will sport a new version of the music software’s cornerstone reverb effect, the RV7000 mkII.
The new version will turn the RV7000 into a fully featured convolution reverb. You can use the impulse responses supplied with the new version or simply load your own samples to use.
Reason 8’s new browser is indeed a big improvement but the one shortcoming still, is that it is only accessible from the main window. In Reason 8.3 you can now access the browser from the detached rack window too. The added flexibility basically means you can use the browser any which way you like now.
Move quickly from birds-eye view to close-up. Hit the Z key to zoom to your selection and hit Z again to zoom back out. This is a real time-saver when editing and arranging!
MIDI in the Rack
Some Reason users spend most of their creative work in the rack view. Now you can select what device receives your master MIDI controller input directly from the rack, without having to go to the sequencer.
