Tsibiri – Hectic Nine-9’s new music video
Tsibiri – Hectic Nine-9’s new music video is a first for the widely watched and enjoyable show for South African youth.
Tsibiri has been co-written by Seredeal “Shaggy” Scheepers and the show’s presenters.
Tsibiri is the kind of song that was made to be a feel good and funky track that has the potential to get stuck in the minds of the young people who watch the show.
The presenters rap, sing, and dance all the way throughout the track, showcasing a wider range of their talents that the fans probably didn’t know that they had.
The release of this music video is the third in a series of three surprises that the show has set up for all of its viewers. The first two were made up of the revamped set and graphics, and now the music video that shines a light on the presenters in a whole new way.
“Music has always been a cornerstone of our show, with our celebration of music in all its forms and our highly popular Music Friday episodes. Releasing our very own track and video seemed like the obvious next step. What better way to share our fans’ love of music, than by creating a piece especially for them?” says the show’s producer, David Stein
The video got to nine hundred views on YouTube within the first two days, making it the most popular video on the Hn9 video channel.
Stein goes on to explain just what Tsibiri actually means.
“Tsibiri is a popular game played by kids, which many of our presenters remember playing in their youth. It doesn’t translate directly into English. But the word encapsulates a sense of fun, friendship, good times and good vibes.”
