They have made a ranked list detailing the gross income of the world’s highest paid touring acts and what they make in tickets sales, in North America and the rest of the world. The totals are made up of the artist’s gross income, which includes the cost of production, artist, management etc.
Electronic dance music artists feature high up on the highest paid list. It’s almost mind blowing to realise that someone could get paid this much for DJing.
Above & Beyond is at the number seventy five spot and made around $150,000 per night during their 2014 tour and sold more than one hundred and ten thousand tickets that were at $42.25 each. They managed to sell three thousand five hundred and fifty tickets per show and they made it to thirty two cities.
Armin van Buuren is at the seventy fourth spot of top DJ earnings. He earned $9 million last year. He made approximately $400,000 per show and sold an average of six thousand tickets at about $65. He played in twenty two cities in 2014.
Avicii did really well last year coming in at the thirtieth spot, he earned $21 million in 2014, and he made an impressive $750,000 per show.
He sold more than three hundred and twenty thousand tickets in total and performed at thirty gigs for the whole of the year.
