The Fill Up FNB Stadium concert could cost Cassper Nyovest millions
The Fill Up FNB Stadium concert could deplete Cassper’s funds.
If Cassper doesn’t source sponsorship for his event, which is set for December 2, he will have to finance it out of his own pocket- and this event is no small change.
Without sponsors he is looking at paying R15 million towards filling up the FNB Stadium to create the biggest hip hop concert the world has ever seen.
After filling up both the “Dome” and “Orlando,” he hopes to fill up the 75 000 seats of the FNB Stadium, as he revealed in an interview on the US hip-hop radio show, The Breakfast Club with DJ Charlamagne.
A perturbed Cassper spoke to TshishaLIVE about his plight saying that he feels that they “have proven” themselves before “with two sold out shows (Ticket Pro Dome and the Orlando Stadium), making it “a safe investment.”
The lion sleeps tonight…
You guessed it- the concert’s theme takes inspiration from The Lion King’s Mufasa in an extravaganza of African celebration.
“I don’t want to give anything away, but the stage will be incredible and something no one will expect. The show will be all about Africa, because we want to show off what this continent can do, but with insane technology and production,” Cassper added.
In preparation for the show set in December, Cassper has drawn out an extensive workout plan in order to lose 10 kg’s for the event as well as putting in serious studio time, working on special music for the show.
Cassper hopes to create a legacy with the concert:
“When we talk about historical concerts, we always talk about America and American artists. We don’t want that anymore, that is why I didn’t invite an American artist to join the show,” he said.
Either way, sponsorship or sole investor, Fill Up FNB Stadium is going forth full steam ahead and promises to be a spectacle!
