BET Experience Africa adds Monique Bingham, Black Motion
The BET Experience Africa has added house music diva Monique Bingham and the awesome Black Motion to the line up on the 12th of December 2015 at the Ticketpro Dome in Joburg.
The BET Experience Africa will also be hosting a few other recognisable names on the line up such as DJ Euphonik, Nathi, Young Thug, Raphael Saadiq, AKA, Maxwell, Tamar Braxton, Flavour and Diamond Platnumz.
Monique Bingham, from New York made her SA debut at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival back in 2011. Monique’s voice is simply luxurious, listening to her perform will convince anyone of the charms of soulful jazz.
She also had a lot to say about Osunlade after he accused South Africa of being the most racist country he’d ever visited which was such a great show of support for this country.
The Black Motion duo has been an influential presence in the local dance music scene since their hit track ‘Banane Mavoko’ which dropped in 2010. Oskido took notice and added the track to his ‘Oskido’s 10th Commandment’ compilation and then signed the duo to Kalawa Records.
The BET Experience Africa is a one stop entertainment festival. It’s made up of a combination of music, dance, comedy, fashion and even sport.
A few of our local comedians will also be doing some stand up routines such as Celeste Ntuli, Joey Rasdien, David Kau, Tats Nkonzo, Skhumba, Jason Goliath, John Vlismas, and Churchill from Kenya.
The BET first ever Genius Talks programme will have Sports & Recreation Minister Fikile Mbalula engage in a ‘wide-ranging conversation’ with Nikiwe Bikitsha. The BET Experience Africa festival is born of and inspired by the BET Experience that is held annually in Los Angeles, California.
